Hey Neil,

Thanks for the comments. There are a lot of drill press table designs out there. I just did something quickly, but it is a major improvement. Now that I have the table I may even rout out some channels for T-track so that I can add some hold down clamps.

Funny that you should mention the "smaller work" and a shooting board. I did not have as much shop time this weekend as I would have liked (too much leaf raking...arrgh) but, I made a couple of boxes with some offcuts - I'll be posting on them as soon as I can install the hinges. I would really like to make a shooting board soon for these kind of projects. I like to do some smaller work and/or turning at times to get a quicker sense of accomplishment.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Mark:

I'm just like you with the drill press, use the table that came with it and clamp a half baked extention when needed.

I like your solution.

You know...... LumberJocks is killing me, I love the smaller work I see there (especially Don's boxes) and see how important a "shooting board" is to that type of work. Now I'll add a drill press table into the winter time mix.

Thanks for the kick in the pants!!!!.........Neil
